The Question Everyone Asks In December

Every December booking starts with the same question: is a mobile bar going to work when it is thirty degrees outside? The trailer does. It brings its own power and lighting, and it pours in the driveway year round while guests come out from a warm house. But some parties want the bar inside the party, not outside it. That is what the wooden mobile bar is for.

Compass has two ways to set up now: the trailer, and a freestanding wooden bar that needs no trailer at all. The holiday party playbook covers the booking calendar and the office party formats. This guide is about the setup, and which bar fits your room.

The Wooden Bar, No Trailer Required

The wooden bar: freestanding, no trailer, and built for spaces the trailer cannot reach.

The wooden bar is a round, freestanding bar with a wood slat front, built to go where the trailer cannot. It made its debut on this site at a Far Hills race day after party, set up on a backyard patio at the foot of a flight of steps, with high top tables on either side and a framed menu on the bar. It brings the same Compass experience as the trailer: professional bartenders, a menu built for your event, and full bar service.

For an indoor space, the honest answer is: tell us the room. Send the space, the rough size, and how guests will move through it, and we will confirm the setup before you book anything.

Where It Fits In December

December parties happen in places a trailer cannot reach. A finished basement for the family party. A covered patio or a heated tent for the neighborhood open house. A courtyard, a terrace, or a ground floor room for the office party. The wooden bar is designed for exactly those spaces, and when the room works, the bar becomes the center of the party instead of a trip outside.

When the party has a driveway and the guests do not mind a short walk, the trailer is still the showpiece, and it pours just as well in December as it did in July. Not sure which fits? Send both the space and the guest count, and we will tell you straight.

Indoor Holiday Bar FAQ

The wooden mobile bar sets up without the trailer, so it can go where the trailer cannot: patios, courtyards, and spaces up a flight of steps. For an indoor room, tell us the space and a rough size and we will confirm it fits before you book.
The trailer is a brand new 2026 custom bar trailer that parks outdoors and brings its own power and water. The wooden bar is a freestanding round bar that sets up with no trailer at all. Both come with professional bartenders and a custom menu.
Yes. The trailer brings its own power and lighting and pours outdoors year round. Plenty of December parties use it in the driveway with guests coming out from a warm house. The wooden bar is the option when you want the bar inside the party.
December Saturdays are the first dates to go, so book by mid November for a Saturday. Weeknight and Friday dates leave more room.
Bartender only service starts at $550. Trailer packages are quoted to your date, location, guest count, and hours. Compass runs BYOB, so the alcohol is a separate, retail priced purchase from our shopping list.
